Hello LSST Families!

I hope you all enjoyed a slow swim week and some Independence Day festivities. Our neighborhood is still without power, so hopefully the rest of you faired better than we did.  Given the unpredictable weather patterns this week, be sure to check your Swimtopia notifications.  If there are any changes to practices/meets, we will send out an alert/email & post on the News section of our website.  We'll try to make decisions that impact practice by 7:00 am.

PHOTOS

Team & individual photos are complete and available for pickup from a board member at practice.  Anything not picked up by Friday will be placed in each family's mailbox file folder.

LOST & FOUND

Several containers were left behind at the Lititz Springs Invitational.  If you're missing something, please check the green box in the shed or ask a board member.

AWAY MEET VS. CONESTOGA COUNTRY CLUB (July 7 @ 5:30)

Deadlines for entries to this meet are on Mon., July 6th by 6:00 pm.  We really need as many of you there as possible to help score points in events.  The CCC pool is located at 1950 Stone Mill Road in Lancaster.  Plan to arrive at 5:30 for a 5:45 warmup.  Jobs are still available, so please sign up to help.

SWIM-A-THON & GEAR SWAP (July 9)

You have a few days left to make that final push for sponsors for our annual event.  Ask family, friends, and neighbors to see if they'd like to help.  Donations may be a flat amount or a per lap amount.  There are prizes on the line for the most laps and most money raised in each age group.  We also need more lap counters, particularly with the younger age groups.  Check the job signups!  We'll have a fun, festive atmosphere for the kids to see how far they can go as well as special treats afterwards.  Bring your outgrown LSST tees, sweatshirts, or other gear for our annual swap - first come, first served. The schedule and a sponsor sheet is listed below.

• 7:45 am – Pool will be open (arrive 15 minutes before scheduled swim time for warmup)
• 8:00-8:45 am – Opens and 13/14 swim as many laps as they can
• 9:00-9:45 am – 9/10 & 11/12 swim
• 10:00-10:30 am – 8 and under swim
• 10:30-11:00 am - Fun relays & water polo

MANHEIM FAST & FURIOUS INVITATIONAL (July 11)

The deadline for this meet has passed, but you may still be able to get in if you contact Coach Michael TODAY ([email protected] or 717-617-9566).  This meet is just a short drive away and features "the legendary 25 free...open to swimmers, coaches, parents, and anyone brave enough to back up their trash talk."  If your child is swimming, please look over the job signups to see where you can help.  We need to provide timers as well as transport team tents, stopwatches & flag to and from the meet.  Warmup times will be released later this week.

WINTER SWIM OPPORTUNITIES

Parents often ask about swim team opportunities in the area after the summer swim season has ended. Below you will find a list of some local teams along with their websites to request more information. Winter teams have a bigger time commitment and cost than summer swim. Some of these teams also have limited spots and both Five Star and LAC begin practices in September. LSST does not endorse any team in particular. All of these teams have included Lititz Springs swimmers on their rosters and are open to anyone from any area.
