Dear LSST Families,

Congratulations are in order for our first win of the season against SECA!  Boy, did that feel good.  We appreciate everyone who made the trip and who stayed until the end to celebrate.  All around team effort!

Below are a few quick updates and then a longer read. Be on the lookout for an email from Coach Michael regarding Divisionals (warm ups, parking, etc.) this Saturday.

We are still in need of 2 timers for the second half of Divisionals, so if your swimmer is in butterfly or a relay, please consider helping.  We will also need someone who has a child in the 8 & under relays to transport the tents to and from the meet.  They just need to be picked up from practice on Friday and can be returned any day during practice next week.  Please use the job signup on Swimtopia to volunteer with these roles.

• Swim-A-Thon donations are due this THURSDAY, JULY 16.
• RSVPs for the End-of-Season Picnic & Coaches' Gift Donations are due this FRIDAY, JULY 17.  Please let us know either way if you're coming or not. Gluten-free pizza will be available (just please make a note in the comment section of your RSVP).
• We're looking for anyone who loves to organize things and would be willing to help get the pool shed into better shape as we close up things for the season.  Please email [email protected] if this kind of thing is in your wheelhouse of skills!  We can coordinate times/days next week that work.
• Picnic is on SUNDAY, JULY 19 from 5:00-7:30.  Pizza, watermelon, snacks, treats & beverages all provided.  Just bring chairs, towels, & a bathing suit if you'd like to swim.  

As the end of our season grows closer, I wanted to reach out with important communication regarding our future.  We are so very grateful for the amazing job our board members have done this past year.  We will be losing a few positions, so it's time to start thinking about who will fill those roles.  Please respond to this email with nominations for any board position or committee. I will reach out to each person (without saying who nominated them) to see if they accept their nomination. At the last board meeting on August 17, we will vote on any contested roles.

Current board members can be nominated for different roles as well.  People move around all the time and try different things!  You may also nominate yourself for something. Board meetings are open to parents, guardians, and coaches.

- Spirit Wear Coordinator - OPEN (we elected not to offer apparel this year, but would love a person to head it up next season)

Please note that we will support whoever takes on any role. We have a timeline for what to do each month along with a very comprehensive Google Drive folder with all the documents you need.
